What is a walk-in cooler?
A walk-in cooler is a refrigerated room you can walk into, used to keep perishables such as produce, dairy, meat, flowers, prepared meals or pharmaceuticals at a controlled temperature, usually between 33°F and 41°F. Instead of building one inside your facility, ZGROUP delivers it ready to run: a refrigerated container (reefer) that works as a portable walk-in cooler, or a ZSTORE XL modular cold room made of 40' modules joined into one open space. Both are available to rent or buy, indoors or outdoors, with no construction.
One reefer container, 10' to 53' (4 to 30 pallets). Arrives ready to plug in, food-grade floor, LED lighting and Thermo King refrigeration.
ZSTORE XL: 40' modules joined side by side, 320 ft² and about 20 pallets each, with no upper limit and a refrigeration unit per module for redundancy.
Both run outdoors or inside an existing warehouse, at floor level or at dock height, to add cooler space without building a cold room.
